Here in Las Vegas we have hard water with lots of lime in it. This is the reason that our soil tends to have a very low PH. In fact, I find myself struggling to keep it neutral all the time. A great organic way to keep your PH up is used tea bags. You can either sprinkle the contents over the soil or if the bags are made of paper, you can bury them in the soil.
